Liliane Gingras

B.A. Hons., LL.B.

Liliane Gingras is a highly experienced lawyer in all facets of workplace investigations, having held a series of unique leadership roles in the private and public sectors in this field for many years. In these roles, she has been involved in the conduct and oversight of investigations, the development of investigation processes, the review of hundreds of investigations reports, and all operational aspects of whistleblower programs. Prior to returning to private practice in 2019, Liliane was Director of Compliance for a large federally-regulated corporation and the General Counsel for the Integrity Commissioner of Ontario.

As a partner at Rubin & Co. LLP, Liliane relies on her diverse experience to conduct investigations into a wide-range of matters, from code of conduct and ethical issues to harassment and discrimination. She also works with organizations to help them solve their most difficult investigation or whistleblower issues by providing them with consulting and institutional services, including the following:

  • Review of investigation reports or processes on file-specific matters to assess defensibility
  • Intake of complaints and whistleblower reports as a third-party service provider
  • Evaluation of intake and internal investigation processes and procedures
  • Review of whistleblower programs

Liliane is a frequent speaker and writer on whistleblower and investigation topics, especially those relating to procedural issues, fairness, neutrality, and recent case law developments.

Liliane received her LL.B. from Queen's University, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2005.
